Rovers worry about losing Agogo

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope admits he faces a battle to keep striker Junior Agogo, especially if he goes to the World Cup. Agogo made his international debut when he played for 45 minutes of Ghana's defeat to French club Nice on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old should know soon if he has made the final squad.

Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "There are clauses within his contract and his agents are working quite hard to get him to a higher level of football."

Trollope added: "We want him to be here but finances talk and if the money is right then the club will have to listen."

Meanwhile, Rovers have offered new terms to defenders Craig Hinton and Aaron Lescott and midfielder Craig Disley and are awaiting their decisions.

Trollope said: "It's ongoing but being honest I can't see a problem with any of them."

He also said the club have already started to talk to potential new recruits but have suffered some set-backs.

"We had our eye on one or two real quality players but their talking to clubs in higher divisions, so already we've had a few bits of frustration, but we know we'll get some quality in the building," added Trollope.
