Re-Broadcast of Ghana 2008 MTN Road Map

Accra, Aug 15, GNA - The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Ghana 2008 has said that there will be a re-broadcast of the "MTN Road Map to Ghana 2008" on Thursday, August 16 at 8pm.

The 60-minute television program, which began last Thursday, will be aired simultaneously on Ghana Television, TV3 Network, TV Africa, Metropolitan Television and Takoradi-based Skyy Television. Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operating Officer of the LOC said this in a statement copied to the GNA Sports.

"The program will provide information about the history and evolution of the Africa Cup of Nations since its inception in 1957 up to date.

"It will feature five unique segments carefully selected to make viewers well informed".

Mr Danquah said the 24-episode television program is aimed at heightening public awareness about the continent's showpiece soccer event.

The program, he said, will also be beamed freely to 50 countries worldwide including 40 in Africa. The 26th edition of the biennial fiesta is scheduled for January 20 - February 10, 2008 at four venue cities of Accra, Kumasi, Sekondi and Tamale. 15 Aug. 07
