Rahim lauds Ayew, Gyan partnership in Korea mauling

Asante Kotoko midfielder Rahim Ayew has praised the partnership between his brother Jordan Ayew and Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.

The pair produced four goals in Monday’s final pre-World Cup friendly against South Korea in Miami with Jordan netting a hat trick.

Rahim, who was an unused substitute at the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa, praised the duo for their impressive displays.

“The game was the perfect game the Black Stars needed,” he told GHANASoccernet.com.

“I was really impressed with the maturity of Jordan and I felt he linked up well with Asamoah Gyan.

“They played well and looked very dangerous whenever they had the ball, a good thing for Ghana going into the world cup.”

Jordan has tallied 5 goals in 14 appearances for the Black stars.

Gyan’s sublime finish before the first half made him equal Ghana all-time scoring mark of 40 goals.
