Press release: Eastern Region Football Association

The mandate of the current executive of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) comes to an end on Wednesday, 9th May, 2012.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to hold a regional congress on Thursday, 10th May 2012 at 1pm to elect an interim management committee to steer the affairs of the ERFA until elections are held.

The GFA is gravely concerned that the legal stand-off between Mr. A. A. Lawal and Nana Budu is affecting the development of the game in the region.

The business of football in the Eastern Region is at a stand still because of the protracted legal stand-off.
