Paintsil clears name confusion

West Ham United's new signing John Paintsil has cleared up some confusion with his name.

The Ghana international arrived at Upton Park following a successful trial, but has been dismayed by some reports calling him Panstil.

The player, though, says this is not true. "My name is John Paintsil, not Pantsil," he told Sky Sports News. "I have no idea (why this happened)." "I am happy at West Ham, the people are nice and they respect each other.

"They give me much more respect and I am happy to be here. And I am happy with my decision to come here."
