Otto Addo out for rest of year

BV Borussia Dortmund have lost the services of midfield player Otto Addo for the rest of the year with damaged cruciate knee ligaments.

The 27-year-old Ghanaian international sustained the injury when he twisted his knee in an African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Uganda over the weekend. Addo is now set to travel to Colorado in the United States, where he will undergo surgery.

Addo sustained the same injury in his right knee a year ago, and was a bit-part player as they won the German championship and reached the UEFA Cup final.
