Osagyefo Enimil sends goodwill message to Black Stars again

The Omanhene of the Wassa-Fiase Traditional Council, Osagyefo Dr.Kwamena Enimil has once again sent a farewell message to the senior national football team, the Black Stars of Ghana, on their forthcoming World Cup quarter-final clash with South American opponents Uruguay.

Osagyefo Dr. Kwamena Enimil expressed his greatest support to the Black Stars this morning in an interview with a Space FM correspondent, and also congratulated the boys for their outstanding performance so far.

He tipped the Stars to go far by beating Uruguay and seeking a place in the semi finals which will be a continental record in FIFA world cup history.

Osagyefo Dr. Enimil also stressed on the point that complacency should be neglected so as to gain full focus in order for the Stars to defeat their Uruguayan counterparts.

Ghana will make FIFA World Cup history with victory over Uruguay to become the first African side to make it to the final four ever since the worldwide showpiece commenced 80 years ago. It will not come cheap however against Uruguay who has won the trophy on two occasions. They won the maiden edition on home soil in 1930 and repeated the feat in 1950 in Brazil but they are looking to surpass the quarter final stage for the first time since 1970. Uruguay are also undefeated in 6 world cup matches with 3 wins on the trot. The Black Star now dubbed 'THE HOPE OF AFRICA' will be looking forward to end that streak come Friday at the Soccer City in Johannesburg where an African side is yet to win in the 2010 World Cup.

Osagyefo Dr. Enimil's last words to the Stars were 'GO BLACK STARS,GO HIGH AND MAY GOD LEAD YOU.'
