Okwawu Wants To Play In Accra

The Professional League Board (PLB) is expected to approve a request by Soccer Mountaineers, Okwawu United to play their second week league match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday 18th May instead of the scheduled date of Saturday, 17th May.

The was a meeting as we to press to decide on Okwawu's request among others and feelers we got from the Board indicated that there was no reason why approval should not be given for the match to take place on Sunday.

The PLB originally scheduled the match for Saturday because Hearts of Oak were to play Hasaacas at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

That match has however been rescheduled for either Wednesday or Thursday next week because of a Hearts' Champions League assignment in Luanda, Angola this weekend.

Okwawu United put in the request on the grounds that playing the match on Sunday would enable more fans of the club to witness the match.
