Okwawu Utd Boss On Way Out

Flamboyant Okwawu United Chairman Kwame Bamfo, alias Sikkens, may relinquish his post this year.

Kwame Bamfo who single-handedly funded Okwawu Utd from first division to its premier status is alleged to have spent close to two billion cedis. Conservative arithmetic put his expenses this year alone close to five hundred million cedis.

Sources close to Okwawu Utd told Mail Sports that the exit of the Kwawu-born billionaire will create financial hardship to the club. Sikkens, at one-time tried to relinquish the post but was exhorted by some influential Kwawu Chiefs to try going an extra mile while a replacement is being found.

Whether that replacement has been found is another matter. Close friends and family members of Kwame Bamfo are tight-lipped on the issue of his relinquishing the post.
