October attracting crowds in Ghana

Former Santos defender, Mason October, told the Siya crew that he is enjoying every moment of his stay in Ghana. The left back is playing for Hearts of Oak in Ghana this season, having joined the side in July.

The 24-year-old spent the 2013/14 season in the books of Santos in Cape Town.

October signed a three-season long contract when he joined the Ghanaian giants with the help of his then teammate John Paintsil.

“Things are going good. I’m still working hard and I’m happy. The feeling is hard to explain. I have no problems at all. I’m comfortable playing here. The fans are amazing here. They give me that extra bit of confidence and as a player you want that. It’s a great feeling knowing the fans have your back,” said October.

October has been getting game time at the Ghanaian team and recently scored a free kick in one of the games.

“About the free kick, what I can say? God is good. I always knew I have goals in me and there is more to come, definitely,” explained October.

October is dreaming of playing in the PSL at some stage in his career.
