No FIFA Ban On Ghana -GFA Capo

...GFA denies bad blood with government
The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi says there is no bad blood between his unit and the Sports Ministry.

According to him all is well between the two factions.

He notes however that all reports suggesting there is a rift between the two bodies are the machination of some persons who want to drive a “wedge” between them.

The President of GFA made this assertion at a press conference at the premises of the Ghana Football Association in Accra.

Media reports had it that government had suggested some sort of overhauling and representation on some committees at the GFA.

The GFA however hit back claiming it had the sole right to effect such changes.

Some media reports also made assertions that the world football governing body, FIFA was considering imposing a ban on Ghana after reportedly receiving information of government interference.

The GFA President however dispelled all reports of FIFA imposing a ban on Ghana.

He also touched on reports claiming that government was requesting the submission of the audit reports on the World Cup in 2006 and CAN 2008 celebration.

Mr. Nyantakyi said the audit reports had been submitted to Parliament for its perusal.
