Nigerian side Kano Pillars hilariously troll Kotoko after Confederation Cup exit

Asante Kotoko suffered their second consecutive playoff second-leg defeat in African club competitions this week as they crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Ivorian minnows FC San Pedro on Sunday.

San Pedro walked into the game with a vengeance and overturned their deficit from the first leg to secure a league stage spot with the 2-1 aggregate victory.

Nigeria side, Kano Pillars Facebook account trolled Asante Kotoko after the Baba Yara-based club bundled out of the Confederations Cup on Sunday.

The Porcupines Warriors crashed out after a 2-0 defeat to San Pedro in the play-off round second leg fixture in Abidjan.

With the first leg in Kumasi ending in a narrow 1-0 victory for Kotoko, San Pedro advanced to the group stage of the competition on a 2-1 aggregate score.

There was no sympathy from the Porcupines first-round opponent in the CAF Champions League who took to their social media page to poke fun at the situation.

Kotoko lost 3-2 to Kano Pillars at the Saani Abacha Stadium in Kano before overturning the scoreline in their favour in Kumasi 2-0 before booking a date with Etoile du Sahel who eventually knocked out the Kumasi-based club on 3-2 aggregate.
