Nigeria, Ghana academicals meet on Sunday

REKINDLING the soccer rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana may be reviewed earlier than expected as a selected team from the just concluded All Nigeria Secondary Schools Football championship tagged Shell Cup is billed to take on their Ghanaian counterparts on Saturday in Lagos.

The Ghanaian side, which is sponsored by Voltra Aluminium Company of Ghana (VALCO) will engage Nigeria in the first leg of the friendly at the National Stadium. The second leg is scheduled to hold at the Accra Stadium on March 24.

The Nigerian team which is currently in camp under the watchful eyes of coaches Jossy Lad and Tajudeen Disu played a 1-1 draw against Lagos United Football Club recently.

The Shell team also trained yesterday at the National Stadium.
