New striker for Kotoko

To further underscore their determination to break Asante Kotoko’s nine-year premier league drought this year, the IMC has managed to register another striker to strengthen the striking department of the team.

The striker, Francis Aggrey whose registration formalities were concluded last Monday by the club’s Accra Representative, Kwame Amoa-Bosompem, was the top striker of Berekum Arsenals.

The strongly built Aggrey, popularly known as Mboma, is expected to partner the likes of comeback kid, Nana Arhin-Duah, Shilla Alhassan and Michael Osei up front to wreak havoc on other premier league clubs.

His recruitment was made by the IMC after close consultations with the technical men who are of the opinion that he could prove an asset to Kotoko’s premier league title chase this year.

The technical men spotted Aggrey when he featured for Berekum Arsenals against Kotoko in a friendly encounter at the Kumasi Sports Stadium a little over two weeks ago.

His inclusion is expected to add some sharpness to the Kotoko attacking machinery, which frequently shows some bluntness that needs sharpening to make the dream of winning the premiership title a reality.

Aggrey begins training with the team when they return from Cameroun.
