Former Bechem United striker, Abednego Tetteh has refuted media reports that he has “officially’ joined Hearts of Oak for the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Viral reports have suggested that Hearts of Oak have finalized a deal with the former Trau FC striker but Tetteh in an interview with the Accra based Angel FM hinted that he is yet to finalize an agreement with the Phobians though he has trained with them.

''I have trained with them but we have not finalized the deal, I can confirm that I won't be part of the matchday squad on Sunday because the deal is not closed yet,''

''Personal terms have been agreed but it is left with the paperwork. A host of clubs were looking for my signature but it’s Hearts of Oak who have shown real intent,'' said Abednego Tetteh.

He also revealed that he will be happy to contribute his quota to end Hearts of Oak's 10-year trophy drought since he is a Phobian by birth.

"I am a boyhood Hearts of Oak fan and it will be the happiest day in my life to help the club win the League or the MTN FA Cup."

Abednego Tetteh was a member of the Bechem United team that won the FA Cup in 2016 before leaving the shores of Ghana to play for Sudanese giants Al Hilal.
