Musical Concert To Herald Hearts-Kotoko Match

A peace musical concert dubbed "Asomdwee Nkomo," would organised by the Management of Accra Hearts of Oak as a prelude to their second round, first match against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday, 21 July, 2002 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by the Administrative Manager of Hearts, Mr. Asford Tettey Oku said the concert forms part of the healing process started last year. The two clubs, competed in the Vodacom Challenge Cup in South Africa, where a similar tragedy had occurred - brought together the affected team in a healing process. The last time the two clubs met at the same venue was a year ago on May 9, where at least 126 fans were killed in a stampede.

The concert starts at noon and would feature artists such as Slim Buster, Tic Tac, Paa solo and Frontomfrom among others.
