Mills warns Brazil

Ghana president John Evans Atta Mills has warned Brazil that the Black Stars will avenge they defeat suffered at the hands of the South America in the 2006 World Cup.

Brazil beat Ghana 3-0 in the second round of the tournament held in Germany three years ago.

The leader of the West African country revealed today that he has told the Brazilian government that the Black Stars will take revenge at next year’s tournament.

The Black Stars are in pole position to qualify for the 2010 edition of the global tournament to be held in South Africa and Mills is confident Ghana will prevail.

Mills jokingly told the Black Stars: “You have to help me win a bet with a Brazilian minister who visited me three days ago.

“I told him that the Black Stars will avenge the defeat so I will be counting on you to make it happen.”

Ghana president John Evans Atta Mills has lavished praise on Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac for guiding the Black Stars to the summit of the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana are top of Group D with maximum six points are two matches in the group involving Mali, Benin and Sudan.
