Members protest FA scribe stay

Some members of the Ghana Football Association are unhappy with the contract extension of FA General secretary Kofi Nsiah till the end of the year.

The Emergency Committee of the Football Association extended the contract of Mr. Nsiah after its expired December last year.

Ghanasoccernet sources say the decision to extend Nsiah's stay has infuriated some members of the association who claim to be oblivious.

Reports indicate an emergency meeting has been lined up in the shortest possible time to address the pronouncement by the FA President.

FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi says the resolution to extend his contract was done after a thorough evaluation of his performance.

"Yes it is true Mr Kofi Nsiah's contract with the FA expired December last year but the emergency committee of the association decided to extend it till the close of the year," Nyantakyi explained at a press conference.

"After a careful evaluation, it was imperative we give him up till the end of the year so that we can take it from there.

"There is nothing untoward about it and Mr Nsiah remains the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association till December this year."
