Medeama are without trio- Enoch Attah Agyei, Bismark Oppong and Bernard Ofori ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup tie against Al Ittihad.

The three players failed to travel to the team to Tunisia outside footballing reasons.

Paperwork problems denied Attah Agyei the chance to make the squad while Bernard Ofori can only be available in the group phase.

Injury concerns wrecked Bismark Oppong's chances of making the squad.

However, coach Tom Strand has assembled a strong 18-man squad for the big showdown in Sfax on Sunday.

Experienced trio Malik Akowuah, Kwesi Donsu and highly-rated Eric Kwakwa are expected to be key for the Ghanaian side.

Defender Samuel Adade as well as efficient centre-backs Paul Aidoo and Daniel Amoah are expected to provide shield for goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe.

The Ghanaian FA and Super Cup champions are confident of a favourbale result in the North African country ahead of the return tie in Ghana next week.

The game is being played in Tunisia due to the unstable political.

Medeama are keen to qualify to the group stage of the competition after missing by a whisker three seasons ago.
