Medeama football club have finally been granted visas to travel to South Africa for their CAF Confederation Cup game against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

The South African Embassy in Accra were refusing to issue the traveling visas to the team even though they fulfilled all traveling documents.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders took the issue to the continents governing body (CAF) and finally the embassy granted them visas to make the trip 30 minutes ago.

Medeama are the current holders of the MTN FA Cup and also the super cup in Ghana and will be racing against time to prepare adequately for the game.

Pitso Mosimane'ss Sundowns have been crowned champions of the ABSA Premier League and will come into the game as favourites.

Medeama are however keen to progress to the group stage of the continent's second-rated inter-club competition after edging Al Ittihad (Libya) and Al Shendi (Sudan) over two legged-ties.
