Medeama cleared to face All Stars in quarters

Medeama have been cleared to continue participating in the MTN FA Cup after having an earlier decision declaring them losers overturned.

The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association overturned the decision to declare Medeama losers of round of 16 tie against Sportin Mirren.

Medeama defeated second-tier side Mirren 1-0 but the Disciplinary Committee ruled the former flouted the rules by wearing unapproved stripes.

The latest decision means Medeama will face Wa All Stars at the Wa Park on Sunday in the remaining quarter-final clash with the winner meeting Asante Kotoko in the semi-finals.
