Congolese giants, TP Mazembe has threatened to hold up the release of Solomon Asante and Yaw Frimpong for the Black Stars’ double header Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week.

The club is set on a collision with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), for delayed request for the duo ahead of Ghana’s match with Uganda and Togo respectively.

Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that the club was set to notify the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), for what they deemed as improper conduct of the GFA, regarding the call-up of the two players.

Mazembe have hinted the players could only be released for the international assignment on Thursday, November 13, exactly 48 hours to the Black Stars’ match with the Cranes of Uganda in Kampala.

The Congolese club’s position is contrary to the GFA’s request to have Asante and Frimpong join the Ghana camp by Monday, November 10, for preparations for the two matches.

Mazembe have also threatened to report the GFA to FIFA for the application of the regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.

The GFA, according to the information sent the invitation for call-up for the two matches on October 27.

Ghana is set to play as guest of the Ugandan Cranes at the Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, next weekend before hosting the Hawks on Togo at the Tamale Sports Stadium days on.

The Black Stars are atop of the group which includes Uganda, Togo and Guinea with eight points from four matches.
