Match Commissioners hold emergency meeting

Accra, Feb 19, GNA - The Greater Accra Branch of the Match Commissioners Association of Ghana will on Saturday February 21, hold an emergency meeting at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A statement signed by A.K. Mensah, Secretary of the Association, said the meeting is aimed at discussing the annual renewals and subscription of members as well as the endorsements of membership cards of members. It reminded members that the annual renewals and subscriptions for 2004 is in progress and asked them to contact the Regional Secretariat on before 21st February with both cash and their membership cards for endorsements.

The statement said late renewals and subscription will attract sanctions and urged all members to corporate with the association in order to meet the deadline on the national secretariat or else defaulting names will be expunged from the current list of Match Commissioners.

Mr Mensah said the meeting would also discuss the final arrangements in connection with the up-coming funeral of the late Ex W.O.1 Barima K. Frempong-Manso at Fumesua in the Ashanti Region.
