Mas-aud Dramani ready to turn down Kotoko

Head coach of the Black Maidens Mas-aud Didi Dramani has exclusively told Finder Sports that even though he has ambitions of coaching Kotoko someday, he would only accept an offer from the Porcupine Warriors after leading the national under-17 female team to the ladies World Cup in Azerbaijan in September.

“I think joining Kotoko would be a step up in my career but for now my focus is on the Black Maidens. I want to take them to the World Cup and do well. I have had preliminary talks with Kotoko but nothing concrete has been reached yet,” Dramani added.

When asked if he would accept to step down as coach of the Maidens to take up the Kotoko job, Dramani told Finder Sports that he would decline any form of appointment, that means he must resign as national team coach between now and September when the u-17 World Cup commences.

“If we are able to reach an agreement for me to handle Kotoko and the national team for now that will be fine but if I am told to resign to take over before the World Cup then I would turn down that appointment.”

“I have heard the rumor that I have been already appointed as Kotoko coach but that is not correct. I have had discussions with Kotoko board chairman K.K Sarpong but nothing yet has been agreed at the moment,” Dramani told Finder Sports.

Kotoko are in search of a new coach after their coach Maxwell Konadu was appointed as assistant to Black Stars manager Kwesi Appiah.
