Mallam And The Decision

Bonsu had been hyped in the past administration and presented as the most credible and visible candidate to fill the void likely to be created after the expiration of Jawula's tenure as chairman of the Ghana Football Association.

Off the centre of perhaps the real reasons was Bonsu's business acumen, which many thought at this era where running of any football institution has become like a business entity, held sway for the Ashanti man whose royal lineage notwithstanding, has an umblical cord linked up with the CPP. What held sway for him was not only the running of businesses.

He knows how to strike the right chord. Bonsu struggled to be noticed by the Obaapa, the most powerful woman in Papa Jerry's era, thus becoming the footnote of the woman that all must be obeyed in order to achieve a cherished dream.

Remember he runs or was he the Adidas representative in the country? Check out the finest collection of Adidas kits which once made the Black Stars, one of the most smartest groups in major international competitions. The famed strips have in some instances clothed some of the best clubs-Manchester United, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Juventus and of course Barcelona.

Bonsu's dream was on course. The matter was not an entirely Obaapa affair, but if the one with the final verdict was Ataa E.T, plus a footnote of the woman behind all appointments in the Jerryship's administration, then Bonsu's deal was a forgone one.

It was one of the paradoxes of life's situation. The two-Bonsu and Ataa E.T were once fiercest enemies. It was all an issue of who gains in the ear of the First Lady.

As his stock- trade, Bonsu was painted to Nana as a Krukrudite by E.T. It simply had no basis.

Bonsu like many guys with Ashanti names have suffered from the warped and myopic thinking of the likes of Ataa Washee who think such authentitic Ashanti names like Bonsu in the NDC were only artificial guys out there for their selfish interest. But once Bonsu found his way through, even the stopwatch began fast counting down to his future with the party that mattered most at the time.

He was visibly spotted on NDC platforms dancing to the glory of the people about to turn his fortune.

Bonsu was in Ho when Egya Atta was proclaimed the heir apparent to the Jerryship throne. Of course there was nothing wrong with that.

Even some hard core guys who professed to be true liberals were once trapped in the NDC web. Ask Munufie, Harry Sawyer and the likes.
