Mahatma Otoo Wins Ghana League Best Player

Youngster Mahatma Otoo of Accra Hearts of Oak has been named Ghana Premier League’s best player of the season. The striker beat Berekum Chelsea’s Lee Addy and Kessben FC's marksman, Bismark Idan for the prize.

Otoo, who bagged 10 goals in the just ended season, dazzled to earn him a place in the local Black Stars team.

“I feel good and it’s not over yet. This is encouraging and I look forward to a promising future. It comes as a result of hard work and I would not give up. I want to go places with my career,” Otoo told Goal.com.

The Golden Boot award went to Bismark Idan and Samuel Affum of Hearts of Oak. Both strikers finished with 13 goals apiece, three short of Alex Asamoah's 16 scored for last season.

Black Stars defender, Lee Addy was once again voted the defender of the season, thus winning the award for the second consecutive time after edging past Hearts of Oak's Karim Alhassan and Daniel Addo of King Faisal.

Aduana Stars' goalkeeper Stephen Adams picked the Goalkeeper of the Season Award.

Adams conceded 10 goals in 29 matches in their league debut to lift the trophy. His coach Herbert Addo, was named the Best Coach of the Season.
