Local Stars to face Liberia in friendly on July 23rd

To begin with preparations for the 2nd edition of the CHAN Championship in Sudan next year, a contingent made up of the technical team, management members and the entire playing body of the Local Black Stars would depart the Kotoka International airport, Accra on the Friday 23rd day of july to Liberia to play against their local side in a friendly match.

The Local Black Stars side are have already qualified for the 2nd edition of the CHAN Championship next year and have started preparations early in order to achieve the target of going one step better than the runner-up spot in last year’s maiden edition in the ivory Coast.

The match against Liberia will be the first friendly and preparation match after the World Cup particpation by the senior Black Stars. That is why many fans have expressed optimism e, Ghanaian fans expectant that the team come out of Liberia with a result to get team off to a confident and bright start ahead of next year’s competition.

The team started training last Thursday and but excludes by the most promising player currently in Ghana Godfred Saka because he is off to Greece for a two weeks trial with Panionis.
