LOC opens accreditation for its global launch

Accra, Aug 15, GNA 96 The Local Organisation Committee (LOC) of the CAN 2008 Ghana Tournament has extended invitation to all media houses towards coverage of the Global Launching of the CAN 2008, at the International Conference Centre in Accra on September 8. The exercise will open on Monday, August 28 to September, at 10:00am to 3:00pm each day at the secretariat of the LOC.

The Global Launching is to expose the preparations made so far by the LOC and their partners from the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) towards hosting of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations by Ghana. According to a statement issued from the Secretariat of the LOC copied to the GNA Sports, prominent officials of CAF such as Alhaji Issa Hayatou 96 President, Mustapha Fahmy 96 General Secretary and Mr Idriss Akki, Vice President of Africa and Middle East Area of Sportfive, marketing rights owners of CAN 2008 are expected to attend the function, which is expected to be beamed live.

The Loc said it has limited number of accreditation for the representatives of the media houses and therefore urged those interested to cover the global launching to contact its front desk for their accreditation.
