Kotoko were not extra ordinary - Yeboah

Hearts of Oak striker Samuel Yeboah has played down the club’s defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Monday.

The Phobians were handed a 1-0 home loss at the Accra Sports Stadium in the topflight’s topmost fixture following an own goal by goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye.

“We came in with the intention to win, and we were dominating too, but unfortunately, they got a goal and everything changed,” Yeboah told the club’s official website.

“We did our best, but it’s one of those things; we will try to fix the problems.

“We have another game in front of us so there’s no time [to brood over the loss]. We have to focus and move forward. I know we will win against Berekum Chelsea [in our next match].

“It was not a bad day, we dominated the game, and were pushing and trying, but the goals separated the two of us. As you can see, it is not a goal that they worked for, but it’s one of those things.

“It is not like they were extraordinary. It’s only unfortunate that we conceded in that manner.”

Still second on the league log, Hearts travel to the Golden City Park where they face off against sixth-placed Berekum Chelsea on matchday 11.
