Kotoko Board Raise 300million For Recruitment

The newly constituted Board of Directors of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, under the chairmanship of P.V. Obeng, is embarking on a drive to raise 300million cedis for the recruitment of players for the coming football season. The amount falls short of the over 1.1 billion cedis the club’s management requires in its player recruitment campaign.

The Board is initiating two fund-raising receptions to generate the balance required by management to pursue the recruitment process.

Alternative short-term means of fund-raising are also being explored.

Investigations by Joyonline revealed that other Board members have made pledges as the club prepares for the first leg of the Mandela Cup in Kumasi on 10th March against Sonangol of Angola.

One of such members is Kwabena Kesse, who our source said has made financial pledges to cater for PTA tickets for the visiting match officials. The amount is expected to be paid on Tuesday.
