Kofi Abanga: Hearts of Oak are ready for the season

Hearts of Oak general captain Kofi Abanga believes the technical team has put the team on the right track for the 2014/15 season.

The commencement of the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League has been delayed due to a court action between King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association.

“The sudden delay in the start of the league is a worrying factor for not just Hearts but all the teams in the league,” Abanga said.

“But the good thing for us is that our technical team has put out a long time table for the playing body. We are playing a lot of friendly matches to maintain our form and so we are on the right track.

“We have already peaked, we are on top form, but we cannot say for certain if the season does not start and we do not test our strengths against our rivals. The technical team is very vigilant and so they are able to bring our tempo down every now and then. The boys are doing well to make the team a formidable side anytime the season starts.

“However, it will be to the best of all the teams in the country if the leadership can solve the problem as quickly as possible so that we can start the league.”
