Kenu needs counselling - Yaw Ampofo Ankrah

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah believes Daniel Kenu would need counselling and further support instead of criticism.

The ace sports journalist has cautioned the media not to judge the Graphic Sports reporter since he is a victim of a crime. He however called on persons in the sports media to raise the bar when it comes to their profession to earn the respect of the masses.

“I believe Daniel needs our support rather than criticism. I believe he has been psychologically affected and this is the time that he needs our support. If you read his letter of withdrawal closely and ponder over the reasons he gave, I think he needs psychological help”, Yaw said.

Daniel Kenu, the Graphic Sports reporter was reported to have been attacked by thugs in the company of Baffour Gyan, brother of the skipper of the Black Stars, and the case has been at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Court since September 8.

After two appearances in court, Daniel Kenu wrote to the Court to withdraw the case citing psychological discomfort as his major reason.
