Juventus win Gala competition

Accra, Aug. 30, GNA - F.C. Juventus defeated No Muu 2-0 in the finals to win the Disciples Aid Foundation (DAF) Gala competition held at Chorkor in Accra on Sunday.

The competition, organised by DAF, a non-governmental organisation forms part of a forum to educate the people of Chorkor and its environs on the HIV/AIDS disease.

Robert Ahunde of Juventus netting both goals for his side. On their way to the finals, Juventus edged out Dansoman Pillars 1-0 and beat Brighten Stars 4-3 on penalties while No Muu on the other hand eliminated Florida Stars 1-0 and drew a bye in the second round. Mr Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Minister for Education, Youth and Sports in a speech for him called on the youth to abstain from indiscriminate sex and to make use of their leisure time instead of engaging in unprofitable ventures.

Reverend Bishop Abraham Annoh, President of DAF also advised the youth to be disciplined and be law abiding and it is only through disciplined lifestyles that they can succeed.
