Mr. Joe Aggrey, editor of Graphic Sports was last week nominated by the President as the Deputy to Mallam Isa at the Sports Ministry. The nomination has been warmly welcomed by the sport loving public with journalists hailing it as one more indication of the government's willingness to make media people partners in development.

Uncle Joe is a veteran journalist whose work was recognised by his peers two years ago when he won the Journalist of the Year Award. He is widely travelled and has written some of the most memorable sports stories and commentaries in Ghanaian sports journalism.
