Jets fly past Wassaman after 1-0 win

Foster Alhassan kicked started his job at Mighty Jets with a win, the club's first in the three-week old Glo Premier League after beating Wassaman Utd 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

Wassaman goalkeeper Sammy Adjei's fifth minute howler inside his box allowed Abubakar Sidi to rob him off the ball and plant the ball into the empty goal.

The hosts were reduced slow in their build up as Wassaman pushed for the equaliser but failed to break the Jets defence.

Jordan Mintah had the best chance in the first half to draw Wassaman level but connected his low header above the crossbar as they return to their base to await Heart of Oak on match-day-4 next Sunday.
