Ivorian Meite is my mentor, says Gideon Baah

Ghanaian left-back Gideon Baah has praised veteran Ivorian defender Abdoulaye Meite, labeling him as his mentor at FC Honka.

Baah won the best defender in the Finnish Veikkasliiga during the just ended season and attributes the feat to the guidance he receives from the former Marseille guardsman.

“Abdoulaye Meite is my mentor on the field, he is the one who has been guiding me and he tells me what to do always,” Baah told his club's website. “Coach Mika Lekhosuoso has also been very supportive and I am very happy and thank him also for always believing in me.”

Baah, 22, signed a two-year deal with Honka during the summer after impressing on loan at the Scandinavian side from Asante Kotoko.
