It’s better playing for Kotoko than Hearts – Charles Taylor

The debate as to which club is worth playing for here in Ghana seems to be have been settled by ex-Black Stars forward, Charles Taylor, one of the few players to have don both the red and rainbow colours of Kotoko and Hearts respectively.

Charles Taylor left Hearts for Kotoko under controversial circumstances in the 2003 transfer window that forced Kotoko to pay huge sums to complete his singing.

The debate has been wrangling on as to among the two teams – Hearts and Kotoko which is worth sacrificing a football career for.

The former Olympics forward has added his voice the debate as one of the few players to have wowed both fans and believes from his experience he votes Kotoko as the worthier of the two teams.



“Kotoko supporters appreciate players more than Hearts fans do. When I signed for Kotoko I noticed vast difference between the two – as at Kotoko for almost 4-months I barely touched my salary all thanks to the fans”.





“The Kotoko supporters give freely namely gifts and so on and based on that I will advise any local player who wants to grow and develop in life I will recommend playing for Kotoko to Hearts any day, he added.
