Inkoom Lauds FC Basel Champions League Qualification

The youngster is being eyed by most European clubs…

Ghana U-20 World Cup winner Samuel Inkoom has realised his dream of playing in the Champions League as his Swiss club side FC Basel celebrated their double triumph this season after a 2-0 victory over the Young Boys.

"I've been very pleased with my performances so far. I think I've been playing well up to now and I've slotted into the team nicely.

“I believe in the team. If we continue to work hard and take our chance when it comes," he told FIFA.com

The Ghanian defender played an integral role in the team’s three point-advantage over their rivals.

The former Asante Kotoko player made 26 appearances out of the 36 league games. He was instrumental in Basel’s 6-0 victory over Lausanne Sports last week during the Swiss Cup final.

Additionally, due to the young stopper's undeniable talent, he is part of Ghana’s provisional World Cup squad.
