"I'm not offended for not being called up for the Black Stars team. At the moment, I think I have regained the trust of coach Kwesi Appiah , although I did not get a place in the recent qualifiers."

"The 2013 African Cup and 2014 World Cup are my two dreams right now. I would like to take part in both," Illiasu said.

The former Kotoko man played a key role in Ghana's maiden World Cup appearance in Germany 2006.

He was also a member of Ghana's 2008 African Cup campaign on home soil but did not play due to injury. Illiasu is fully fit now and has regained the top form that earned him a call up to the national team in 2006 and 2008.
