Sports Journalists Saddick Adams has denied claims he played a role in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé in football corruption in Africa involving former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi.

In a statement reacting to the publication, he disclosed that he would not accept to be credited with someone else’s work and sweat distancing himself completely from the investigative work dubbed “betraying the game and Number 12”

“It was the BBC that sought my views on the documentary only after it was done. And this I do with many other international media on top Ghana Sports matters,” he said.

"Whiles busy covering the GFA Elections today, my attention was drawn to this fake story which has already been pulled down by the websites that recklessly published them.

I have to repeat that, it is public knowledge I played absolutely no role in the Anas Exposé.

It was the BBC that sought my views on the documentary only after it was done. And this I do with many other international media on top Ghana sports matters.

Let me add that, nobody has recommended me for any programme as far as I know. The story is wrong, misleading and a complete fabrication.

First, my lawyers have contacted the websites that published the story and even though they’ve pulled them down, we’ll pursue to get this cleared.

I’d keep being interested in helping rid our Sports and other sectors of corruption, and this, I do with pride," he concluded.
