I'm ready for Sudan clash - Muntari

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari played the full throttle as AC Milan coasted to a 2-0 win over Genoa on Friday, boosting his chances of playing in Black Stars clash with Sudan this month.

Goals from Giampaolo Pazzini and Mario Balotelli in the 22nd and the 60th minute respectively earned the vital win for the 10-man Rossoneri at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

Muntari played as the main-man in midfield after compatriot Kevin-Prince Boateng was dropped from the final team despite traveling with the side.

Muntari’s form means that he will be fit to play for Ghana when they host Sudan in a World Cup qualifier on 24 March in Kumasi.

Milan however had it extremely tough especially after the sending off of defender Christian Zapata for a second bookable offence in the 66th minute.

The damage had all the same already been done as the visitors held on for the vital win that now takes them within two points of second-placed Napoli ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.
