Hearts warns pirates

Accra, August 2, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited has said it has lawfully registered various marks that are traditionally associated with the Club.

The Club has therefore warned all persons and organizations using the registered marks in relation to their goods and services without the agreement of the Club to desist from the act forthwith. The management of the Club in a statement copied to GNA Sports said the general public is therefore informed that the registration has been sealed under the Trade Mark Act 2004, Act 664.

It said in accordance with Section 18 and 19 of Act 664, the Trade Marks could be inspected in the Registrar of Trade Marks at the Registrar-General Department.

The statement named the registered marks to include Name, Colour and Logo of the Club associated with words such as "Never Say Die Until The Bones Are Rotten" "Phobia" and "Rainbow". 02 Aug. 07
