Hearts pull out of meteors game

The proposed friendly match between defending league champions Accra Hearts Of Oak and the National under 23 team,Black Meteors which was scheduled to take place at the El-Wak Stadium on sunday has been called off.

The team manager of the Olympic team,Sabahn Quaye, in an exclusive interview with HOT FM stated that the cancellation of the match was due to Hearts' technical team giving priority to the physical conditioning of their players.

Confirming the story, the assistant coach of the Phobians, Abdul Karim Zito hinted that the team's physical instructor moved for the cancellation in order to give the team an ample time to improve their physical fitness.

In order to get the Black Meteors in shape for their Olympic Games Qualifier against Amagluglug of South Africa on Sunday October 14, the technical handlers have settled on Kumasi based Kessben FC at the same venue on Sunday.Before sundays game, the meteors will engage " The Wonder Club" Accra Great Olympics on friday at El Wak.They have also proposed another friendly match against Liberty Professionals on tuesday.

In a related development, the match between the Black Meteors and Gamba All Blacks which was scheduled for El Wak tomorrow morning has also been called off.
