Hearts of Oak sack team Physiotherapist

Accra Hearts of Oak has terminated the appointment of its physiotherapist James Commey Bortsie Sportscrusader.com can exclusively reveal.

According to a source close to the club who spoke to Sportscrusader.com, no reasons were given as to why Mr. Bortsie’s appointment was terminated days before the Phobians kick off their 2014/2015 football season.

According to the source, several issues pertaining to his off the pitch issues with some of the players both old and new could be the reason for his dismissal.

Sportscrusader.com got in touch with James Commey Bortsie to seek his side of the story and this was what he had to say: “I don’t know what amounted to management taking that decision, but I will respect it because all of us want the wellbeing of Hearts of Oak and if my sacking will make the team win its matches or be successful in the coming season, so be it”, Commey Bortsie mentioned in his response to Sportscrusader.com.

According to club sources no replacement has been named yet, an action that suggests that the Phobians will kick start their first league match on Sunday without any physiotherapist on the bench.

However the Phobians can rely on the experience of chief masseur Aliu Adjetey popularly known as ‘Ozii Ozaa’.
