Hearts move to camp for Africa

Champion Club Accra Hearts of Oak last Wednesday moved to camp to step up their preparations for this year's African Clubs Championship.

The team moved to camp after their training scheduled Wednesday evening and are expected to be in camp, till they honour the two legs of their pair up against the Togolese champions.

Coach Herbert Addo told the GNA Sports that the move to camp is to enable the players to get the maximum concentration towards their first match against A.S. Douane.

According to the coach, the residential camping would also afford the team to have the full complement of the squad for training.

He said the team could have moved to camp just after the LG Top Four Tournament but due to some constrains the plan could not materialise.

Coach Addo expressed satisfaction with the response of his players to training and said their attentiveness and commitment would boost the performance of the team.

The coach said the presence of Emmanuel Osei-Kuffuor and other senior players in the team has motivated the young players in camp and this would raise the morale of the team to give out their best.

He expressed the hope that the team would put up an impressive performance in the match.

Hearts are expected to play AS Doune of Togo in the first leg of the African Clubs Championship on April 13 with the return encounter in Togo on April 27.
