Hearts constitute 11-member Board of Directors

Accra, Dec. 14, GNA – Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited has put in place an 11-member Board of Directors to steer the affairs of the Club.
The constitution of the new Board follows the successful floatation of shares and the expiration of the tenure of the old Board.
A statement signed by the Emmanuel Martey Conmodore-Mensah, outgoing Board Chairman copied to GNA Sports on Wednesday said the appointment of each of the members is subject to confirmation by the shareholders at the first Annual General Meeting tentatively scheduled for March 2012.
It said the new Board comprises of experienced businessmen and professionals who share a commitment to the best interests of the Phobian fraternity.
the statement expressed conviction that the new Board will bring ambition and fresh prospective and approaches to the management of the Club.
The members include Togbe Afede XIV, Emmanuel Martey Commodore-Mensah, Apiigy Afenu, Frank Nelson Nwokolo, Alhassan Andani and Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe.
The rest are Professor Kofi Kumado, Justice Ivy Heward-Mills, David Lamptey, Chairman of the National Chapters Committee (NCC) – Supporters’ umbrella of the Club and the Chief Executive Officer.
Meanwhile, the new Board will hold its first meeting next week. Issues to be discussed include the appointment of a Chairman, the appointment of a company Secretary, code of conduct for Board members, the financial year 2010/2011 and First quarter 2011/2012 accounts.
The rest are current financial position and outstanding liabilities, revenue resources, team performance and player remuneration, short and long-term objectives and an Extraordinary General Meeting.
