Hearts congratulates President elect Atta Mills

Accra, Jan 6, GNA - Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited has sent their congratulatory message to president-elect, Professor John Evans Atta Mills for winning the highest office of the land in the recent General Elections. A statement signed by E.M Commodore-Mensah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club said, "Right from 2000 through to 2004 and 2008, you kept the age long motto of the Club and its spirit of 'Never Say Die', hence you did not panic nor felt discouraged in your quest for the presidency.

"You stoically pressed on toward the goal of seeking the mandate of Ghanaians to serve the nation" the statement said. The statement said that the Club is therefore happy with Prof. Mills achievements and wish to share the share joy with him. "As you prepare to assume the presidency, we have no doubt that the special qualities of discipline, humility, determination, perseverance and tenacity of purpose that endeared you to the hearts of Ghanaians will spur you on to succeed". It said the entire membership of Hearts of Oak will continue to prevail and inspire the President-elect throughout his tenure of office. "We wish you a very happy and successful tenure of office because you 'Never Say Die' when it matters most.
