Hearts beat BRM Stars 3-0

PREMIER league leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak, made light work of BRM Stars, a first division side, by beating them 3-0 in their friendly football match played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium last Sunday.

In a dull one-sided match, Hearts took absolute control of the match from the blast of the whistle to the end.

Featuring almost all their regular players, the Phobians dictated the pace and in the 8th minute, their right half back Dan Quaye collected a pass from Wisdom Abbey to lob the ball past on-rushing keeper Benjamin Edumadze in the BRM?s post.

Hearts resumed the second half strongly and, following a series of raids in their opponent?s vital area, succeeded in scoring two more goals through inside right Laryea Kingston and outside- right Farouk Kubaja to increase the tally to 3-0 in the 50th and 62nd minutes respectively.

In the 75th minute, outside right Kofi Baah Jnr picked up a ball from the right flank and outpaced three Hearts defenders in a row and delivered a powerful shot which sailed over the bar.

Finding the game easy, Hearts used the match to test as many as four of their players on the bench.
