Hearts To Name New Coach In 10 Days

DETHRONED Onetouch Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak are likely to make a public pronouncement of their new technical head in about ten days time. An authentic source close to the club told 90 Minutes that so far seven top coaches from all over the globe have submitted their respective CVs with six of them being foreign nationals. The source revealed that acquiring the services of a competent coach is the topmost agenda of the Phobians as they expect him to lead the club in their recruitment exercise for next season's Premier League competition after a disastrous outing this season. The source said the haste in bringing in a coach is to afford him the opportunity to study the terrain in order to form a proper judgment on all the players before he comes up with his final squad which will represent the club next season.

The source confirmed to us that the CV's of the coaches are currently being critically examined by the Hearts board and that they will make a public pronouncement soon on their choice and explain the reason why he was given the job. Although no names were mentioned as to the identity of the coaches who have applied for the job, 90 minutes can confirm that the only Ghanaian amongst the lot happens to be Mohammed Polo, a former player of the club. But our painstaking investigations revealed that former Orlando Pirates and St. Georges' coach, Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic and outgoing King Faisal coach, George Steve Pollack are in the frame to get the nod for the Hearts job.
