Hearts Suspend Laryea Kinston for Faisal match

The Management Board of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Limited has placed a one-match ban on Laryea Kingston which prevents the player from featuring in Sunday's epic encounter against King Faisal at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. In addition, Kingston would forfeit 50 per cent of his salary.

The management decision is sequel to a weekly technical report submitted to it by Herbert Addo, Head Coach of the club, which stated that the player physical attacked his colleague Hassan Mohamed during last Friday's training session.

A released issued in Accra and signed by Mr. Tommy Okine, Chief Executive of the Club, said the decision was to serve as a deterrent to other players adding, "the team would not want to be detracted from it's focus to win the league for the sixth consecutive time".

The statement regretted that this is the third time the player is being marked down for disciplinary and unprofessional reasons. Mr. Okine said the punishment would have been more serious but management is aware of the fence-mending steps taken by Kingston after he apologised to Hassan Mohamed, the playing body and the coach.
